Remaster Your Little Black Dress

Hey Beauty Bees,
Everybody has that one wardrobe staple that they've worn over and over again, a little black dress. You've matched it with a different pair of shoes, or a different hairstyle; but what if there was a way to make that dress look like something completely new, using items that are already in your closet.
I got this black sundress from Forever 21 for only 10 dollars.
I am going to show you 6 different ways to style this plain black sundress.

In this outfit I just added a sleeveless button down blouse but tied it just below the bust. Great way to emphasis the tiniest part of your waist. Choose a shirt that has some details on it, like this one has lace along the sides and studs on the collar. It will add a little extra excitement to the outfit without having to add any accessories. Pick out some cute sandals and this outfit would be perfect for a day out with your friends or significant other.
This one is basically the same as above but with sleeves. I went for more of a country theme here, throw on some cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and you ready for any concert that involves Luke Bryan or Tim McGraw.
I went for a more Bohemian look with this outfit. This made me think of some of the dresses I always see at Free People, with the two styled layered look (displayed on the right). All you need to do is find a loose flowy tank top that will fit over top the dress. I choose my favorite sunflower tank, which is seeming to be the print of the summer. You can even add 2 tank tops of different lengths to add dimension, but id suggest going with very light materials as it could get very warm. Keep in mind the patterns you are matching together because you still want it to flow seamlessly, as if it is one dress.
This outfit is all about the accessories. I belted the dress to give it more structure and then added a sparkly necklace and ring. All you need to do is add some high heels and you got yourself an outfit for a dinner date or special night out. If you were to up play your hair and makeup as well, this outfit could even be fancy enough for a wedding.
I toned down the accessories in this outfit to fit a more casual event, like a movie or lunch date. The cardigan is what helps give this outfit the more casual look. Since you got a neutral colored dress, have some fun and add a colorful cardigan or accessory like I did with the necklace. Tone down the jewelry and this would be a perfect outfit for a job interview in a professional setting.
This is the ultimate casual comfy outfit. Pick any cropped or graphic tee that you like and throw it over top the dress. You now just turned it into a skirt. Add some simple jewelry and flip flops and your ready to run errands or grab some lunch with friends.
This final outfit is my favorite. Perfect for those more chilly summer nights out at the beach or bonfire. Just pop any loose long sleeve shirt or sweater over your dress and your ready for the night. If you still want to show off your dress but stay warm, pick a more cropped sweater that has a wider neck hole so your can wear it off the shoulder.
A simple black dress can work for any occasion, you just need to look in your closet and see what you can come up with.
