Welcome to the Hive

Hey Beauty Bees,

My name is Linda. I am 21 and just recently made one of the biggest decisions of my life; I moved out of my parents house. Some people would say that's not such a big deal, everybody does it, everybody grows up, but my experience was a bit bigger than that. I didn't just move out of my house, or city, or province, I moved to a whole different country. From a boring, little city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada to living just outside of the history rich city of Boston, Massachusetts in the USA.

Why Boston? I had a country full of cities to choose from. New York. Los Angeles. Chicago. San Francisco. I am sorry to disappoint anyone but I am about to get as corny or cliche as it can get.  I moved for love. My boyfriend of almost seven years and loving fiancee was born and raised here. After being apart for so long with only visiting each other every few months, the only decision left to be made was who was going to make the sacrifice of moving from there hometown. One great thing on my end is that there are two things I have always enjoyed; anything to do with beauty (hair, makeup, clothes) and going on adventures. So I packed up all my things and flew 700 miles to finally be with him. This started an amazing adventure with him as well as my own personal journey of figuring out what I want to do with my life.

Now is going to come the question, why am I here writing to you? Since I got my adventure started, of course, my love for beauty was soon to follow; however this is a love I can share with others. Who else can describe that adrenaline rush they get when they walk into a mall with all their favorite stores. How about when there is a big event coming up like a party or wedding and the only images that come into your mind are outfits and what type of hair and makeup you want to create for that day. I know for me it happens all the time.

Now moving from one city to another, you come across many new things: people, places to shop, restaurants, jobs, but furthermore style. I can definitely see the difference in clothes, makeup and hairstyles people have here compared to what I am used to back in Canada. People seem to be more outgoing and expressive then what I am used to seeing. The fun part will be integrating my old style with everything I will see and learn here. I can transform it into something completely new, so why not take you along.

This blog will help me share what I already know about beauty as well as what I will learn in my adventure of living in a new city. Hello Boston!
