Younique Product Review with Brianna Dawn

Hey Beauty Bees,

There is a makeup brand that has taken the world by storm and has been getting a lot of attention in the beauty and online world. Younique is the first direct sales company to market and sell almost exclusively through the use of social media! They sell everything that you will need to help you "Feel Beautiful - Look Beautiful - Be Beautiful Inside and Out".

I have been very interested in getting my hands on some sample products to see what the whole uproar is about. Lucky for me I have an old high school friend who has jump started a very successful business in selling Younique products! Brianna so graciously sent me some samples to swatch and test out for you guys and I have been impatiently waiting to finally share with you what I think.

Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powders - $12.50 ($15 CAD)
"Luxurious eye shadows that provide key nutrition for your skin."
These pigments are so much better then others I have tried. The colors are super rich and show up amazingly on the eye. I love the fact that you can use them wet for a more dramatic pop of color or dry like I have shown above. My only problem with them is that they have a lot of fall out and can be messy to use.

Splurge Cream Shadow - $26 ($31 CAD)

"A high-density, velvety-smooth cream eye shadow."
I absolutely love these cream shadows! They show up on the eye so well and have amazing lasting time. If you are someone who likes a quick eye look, these shadows are perfect for you. Just swipe them across the lid, add some liner and mascara and you are ready to go.
Moodstuck Minerals Pressed Blusher - $29 ($35 CAD)
"Mineral-based, highly-pigmented, perfectly tinted blush."
At first swatch I was super impressed with the pigmentation of these blushes. I was just worried that they might add too much color to the cheeks, thankfully I was proven wrong. These blushes blend out beautifully on the skin and give you a healthy flush. My personal favorites were shades "Stunning" and "Scandalous" since I like pink toned blushes over red toned.
Beachfront Bronzer - $32 ($38 CAD)
"A duet of bronzing powders baked on terra cotta tiles."
This was the only product that I was not fully in love with. The three shades of bronzer honestly looked the same in the swatches and then looked too muddy on my skin tone. I do however like that they come in half matter/half shimmer so that if you do like a certain shade, you can still have the option to use it as a contour since shimmery bronzers do not work well in this technique.
The last sample set I was sent were some of the skincare products that Younique has. I was not able to test out most of them yet since I am trying out a specific skincare routine atm. I have however only tested out the primer so far, which by the way is amazing!! It works extremely well as an eye primer keeping eye shadow in tact all day long! Here is the full list and prices of the samples above.

Glorious Face and Eye Primer - $39 ($47 CAD)
Illuminate Clean Facial Cleanser - $39 ($47 CAD)
Illuminate Clear Facial Cleanser - $39 ($47 CAD)
Uplift Eye Serum - $65 ($78 CAD)
Divine Moisturizer - $39 ($47 CAD)

This is a look I created using some of the above Younique products. Here is what I used and how.

Moodstuck Minerals Pressed Blusher in "Stunning" lightly buffed into the cheeks out to my hairline.

Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powder in "Flirty" used dry on the lid over the Glorious Face and Eye Primer.

Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powder in "Corrupted" used wet with an eyeliner brush on my lash line.

**I did use some other products besides Younique such as my foundation, mascara and lipgloss.

A huge thank you goes out to Brianna for sending me these products to test out and review for you guys.
