7 Simple Additions To Your Daily Skincare Regime For Healthy Skin


When we say “skincare regime” we immediately think about our daily cleansing and moisturizing routine. We’re not going to talk about all that here because you’re probably doing them already. Instead, I’ll be showing you some useful skincare essentials beyond creams and cleansers.

A skincare regime basically refers to the things that you do to care for your skin. So, it can also include eating right and adopting a lifestyle that promotes skin health. Take a look at some of the simple additions you can make to your daily life for healthy skin:

1. Vitamin C – As Vitamin C is one of the most powerful antioxidants, it’s an essential addition to your daily diet. It can boost collagen production, helping you maintain healthy and supple skin. You can include vitamin-C-rich fruits and vegetables like broccoli, kale, grapefruit, collard greens, strawberries, parsley, and red and green bell peppers.

2. Relaxation – Sometimes, we can get a little too obsessed and stressed out over trivial things. Sure, a new zit just before a big date can be highly infuriating but did you know that stress can worsen the situation? Even the best of skins can suffer when you’re experiencing too much stress.

These fatty acids also manage the cortisol levels in the body, resulting in supple and youthful skin. For a healthy dose of Omega-3’s, enrich your diet with salmon, sardines, mackerel, walnuts, chia seeds, and flaxseeds. Otherwise, fish oil pills can also work just as well.

There may be some things you’re doing in your skincare regime that aren’t really good for the skin. Or maybe you’re not yet adopting a healthy cleansing and moisturizing ritual. Here are a few tips to ensure you’re doing the right thing:

· Avoid synthetic fragrance at all cost, as they’re the most common cause of allergic reactions.


· Even if you don’t use make-up remover on a daily basis, try to use it to remove heavy make-up. For instance, it’s important that you use remover for removing heavy-duty Halloween make-up.


· Unless you’re using it for spot treatments, avoid any product that contains alcohol because it can lead to intense drying.


· While mineral oil is popularly used by many women, steer clear of it as it can suffocate the skin and also result in redness.
